I answered the above 'virtual signaling exercise', yesterday when I came across it on the Eryr Wen fb page because I can only construe to be a rather dishonest and 'sad' attempt to negate the potent symbolic strength of the Eryr Wen and turn it into some sort of compromising 'peace dove', the Eryr Wen group administrators immediately took the above statement and my response to it down, good but now, I see it is back up! Well, I will repeat what I, initially said yesterday, when I first found the statement on the Eryr Wen fb page as I feel there is no need at all for such dishonest virtual signaling and we will not allow such a misleading statement as the one above to be posted and shared without question. Taking down my response and deleting most of the thread of debate was not very democratic and very 'fascist' behavior if I may say but, you can take our reply down as many times as you like but, each time you do and each time we see this statement up, we shall challenge it.
Harri Webb, first and foremost was a Cymric Socialist Republican who wanted to see a CYMRU RYDD SOCIALAIDD.. He bought out the magazine Cilmeri Centrepoint in the early 1960's which encouraged the establishment of the annual Cilmeri nationalist rally which became a rallying point, initially for the 'real' FWA and its supporters and later by the Cofiwn movement and its supporters. He was also a scholar, well versed in the early history and mythology of Cymru and, knowing about the ‘Eryr Wen of Eryri’ myth, decided to create a heraldic form of it that could easily be painted up on walls as a sign of resistance to English rule in Cymru - very much as the French resistance devised a simple form of The Cross of Lorraine to paint up on Walls in France as resistance to the occupation of the Third Reich. The 'Eryr Wen' was never meant to be a symbol of 'altruism' as claimed in the above statement and it was never devised to be incorporated into the 'political correctness crap' that political parties and groups such as Yes Cymru and now, it seems, this new Eryr Wen group feel necessary to stress today. How many people, in reality, that are members of Yes Cymru 'really' are members because they are passionate about the need for an Independent Cymru for the betterment of life for the Cymric people as a whole or, how many are in the movement because they really want to ensure a secure and prosperous future for themselves and their families by means of securing jobs in the "sham Senedd", S4C, the media in general or through those crachach bodies that need to feed off 'grants' off the colonial regime to continue to exist? How many are 'really' serious about the cause of Independence and are seriously prepared to fight to achieve that end or are just participating in the Yes Cymru marches as a means of meeting friends and socializing? These truths have to be aired and the 'hoodwinking' and manipulation has to stop or we will NEVER achieve true Independence that is going to benefit the Cymric people and not just the Welsh Establishment, the Crachach and their 'fair-weather friends' from wherever they come from. The Eryr Wen stands for RESISTANCE, purely that and the heraldic symbol was designed to serve a 'real cause' when there was one in existance in Cymru and should not be used for 'revisionist' crap as in the above statement. I can but assume that Harri Webb must be spinning in his grave.
We then find that a group calling themselves the Welsh Anti Fascist Group has placed the Eryr Wen Statement on their page for the purpose of, initially, questioning the 'real' FWA's socialism but, which quickly turns into a thread of attacks on Cayo Evans and the leadership of the 'real' FWA. Most of the disparaging comments have been deleted following us challenging them as blatant lies and slanderous. Some of those comments were attempts to discredit the FWA and blatently blacken the character of Cayo Evans. They have been taken down now but, the biggest blatant lie was by Adrian Price, who claimed that Cayo had a portrait of Himmler hanging up in his home.
I have been to Glandenys, Cayo's home, on numerous occasions - and have stayed there on some occasions and wondered around the house and I never saw any portrait of Himmler or any other nazi in that house and I am sure there are Cymric patriots living who can and would back that up.
