JOHN JENKINS A ''RELUCTANT REVOLUTIONARY'', NEVER!

Wyn Thomas who has written a biography of the Cymric patriot John Jenkins's life and has called the book 'The Reluctant Revolutionary', anybody that knew John well knows that he was never a 'reluctant' revolutinary and would not wish to be labeled as such. John became a freedom fighter/revolutinary because he wished to fight for Cymric freedom by whatever means possible - and devoid of any reluctance to do so. One cannot wonder if the title of this book was chosen as an 'insidious' means of belittling John, his patriotic struggle and that of Cymru.

Cursing the day he was born a Welshman maybe as i am now thinking that way myself fearing a so called Independence in a 'Crachach Controlled'Assembly Bay puppet colony.

Sion J obbins asked by BBC Politics Wales what Welsh independence looks like, he said: "For Yes Cymru, there's two basic things, which is international recognition, so a seat in the United Nations. And then our own written constitution, is that it?

"Does it mean we have theEnglish monarchy? That's another question. Does it mean we're in NATO? That's another question. Does it mean we have our own currency? That again is a different question. "That's for other groups to organise and to campaign for or against," he added.

The authors of the Plaid-commissioned report outlined the economic difficulties they believe would face an independent Wales.

Mr Jobbins said he "would disagree with that" but that "it is a challenge".

He added: "In the 1960s, the Welsh economy was double the size of the economy of the Irish Republic.

JJ MAY BE GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

I FIRST MET JOHN AT A PLAID CYMRU SUMMER SCHOOL IN MAESTEG, WE WERE ALL WONDERING WHO THIS 'STRANGER' WAS. I ONLY HAD A SHORT CHAT WITH HIM THEN BUT CAME TO KNOW HIM BETTER FOLLOWING MY RETURN FROM EXILE IN DUBLIN. UPON FOUNDING COFIWN, JOHN SOON JOINED AND SERVED WELL AS AN OFFICER OF THE MOVEMENT BUT WAS TO MOVE ON TO JOIN THE WELSH SOCIALIST REPUBLICAN MOVEMENT THOUGH, IN TIME, WAS TO RETIRE FROM ACTIVE POLITICS. IN LATER LIFE JOHN WAS TO MOVE INTO CARE AND IT WAS AT HIS CARE HOME THAT SIAN AND I WOULD VISIT HIM IN 2018 AND SEE HIM FOR THE LAST TIME. IT WAS ONLY LAST WEEK THAT WE SENT HIM A XMAS CARD AND PRESENT TO THE CARE HOME AND ON ENQUIRING IF IT HAD ARRIVED, ONE OF THE CARE STAFF INFORMED US THAT JOHN WAS ILL AND IN HOSPITAL. WE DREADED THE WORSE AND THIS MORNING WE WERE TOLD HE HAD PASSED AWAY. TRULY SAD NEWS INDEED. THERE WILL BE MANY PATRIOTS WHO WILL MOURN THE PASSING OF JOHN AND SADLY A GUTLESS FEW WHO WILL NOT AND WOULD RATHER THAT HE WAS FORGOTTEN. SO, I CALL UPON TRUE PATRIOTS TO MAKE SURE HE IS ALWAYS WELL REMEMBERED, LET SLOGANS BE PAINTED THROUGHOUT CYMRU AS A SHOW OF RESPECT FOR A GREAT PATRIOT SON OF CYMRU - THE LEGEND THAT IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE.
